Referencing Bill Bryson’s “Walk in the Woods” Krystal shows us how persistence is the key to success. It’s about being stubborn enough, and persistent enough to keep going. You don’t have to be the best business owner in the world, or the best contractor. You just need the persistence to not give up.
Krystal is a digital marketer and Facebook ads expert with a significant client base in her home province. Last November, she started running an ads campaign to build a nationwide presence of her own business, Reflective Marketing. Specifically, she is targeting the home services space.
When Krystal first started, she offered to conduct a live ad account audit for a qualified business owner. However, this offer did not prove to be compelling enough as only a single client signed up
Instead of shutting down the ad, Krystal was quick to pivot and change the copy on her ad. By December, Krystal launched a new campaign which was a case study of an HVAC client for whom she has got amazing results. This really resonated with the right target audience – the home services market. However, the timing is still a little off with Christmas, then Covid.
With some tweaks to the sales process and a lot of patience sure enough – her campaign turned profitable. Krystal was able to secure a contract with an amazing business owner in Oregon in May. Just like the sales process, results for these campaigns take time. You have to have the stubbornness to try another day.
